at nearby Lake Champlain. Eunice and her mother were both Mormons, having converted around 1831. Others in the family were also
were also baptized in the Mormon faith. In 1850, Andrew and Eunice were living in Parma, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. In 1852, they were
living in Pottawattamie, Iowa. Their son Jude and his family were also living there at the time. Between 1852 and 1856 Andrew and

her son Benjamin. In 1860, the federal US census shows Andrew Allen, wife Nancy, and children Joshua, 9, and Emma, 4 in Ragland.
